Agency for Food and Veterinary estimates that Ljupco Nikolovski from SDSM with Monday's statement placed lies and unfounded allegations, accusing the competent authorities of incompetence and creating chaos in dealing with the Lumpy skin disease in cattle.
"With last week's start of the vaccination of cattle, the Agency for Food and Veterinary proved its commitment, willingness and professionalism in dealing with the disease. Vaccination, as promised, is carried out in areas where the disease is present with the sole purpose of preventing its further spread", FVA said in reaction to a statement by Nikolovski.
Agency for Food and Veterinary reiterates that the rest of the vaccines have been ordered and that their arrival in the country is soon expected.
"Farmers are not waiting for the damages as Nikolovski claims. The procedure for registration of claims for compensation for slaughtered and killed cattle is in progress. So far, the Agency for Food and Veterinary have received seven requests for compensation by farmers, which according to the legislation will be reviewed and will be paid as soon as possible", the response of the FVA reads.
