Yet another county in Middle Tennessee has fallen prey to the Emerald Ash Borer, a pest that targets ash trees.

So far, 48 counties in Tennessee are under quarantine because of the insect, including Davidson, Williamson, Wilson and Rutherford counties.

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture reports an adult beetle was found in a trap in the eastern section of the county.

The beetles can kill an ash tree within three years of an infestation. There are an estimated 261 million ash trees in Tennessee.
