The Friedrich Loeffler Institute posted to its website Information LSD available and illustrates the data on a constantly updated map.

The Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) is a compulsorily notifiable disease in cattle caused by capripox viruses. The LSD is in Africa and the Middle East still endemic. War and favored the spread of this disease from crisis areas in the neighboring countries and ultimately to Europe. In South Eastern Europe the number of cases of LSD in recent months have risen sharply, and the disease is spreading strongly from the Balkans in a northwesterly direction. The transfer takes place mainly on arthropods.
