Skopje, 13 May 2016 (MIA) - A total of 580 cows have been diagnosed with lumpy skin disease so far, Food and Veterinary Agency director Zoran Popovski said on Friday. There are 13 sites where the disease has been identified.
"We received firm guarantees from the manufacturers of the vaccines that we will receive the shots by the end of the month, and we will begin vaccinations immediately, according to a pre-prepared plan", Popovski said. The disease appears rarely in the Balkans, and is not harmful to humans, but can cause serious damage among the herds. Popovski added that milk deliveries to the dairy plants in the affected regions are going on without problems.cc/13:41
